I hope DiCaprio has a win coming after being snubbed for J. Edgar and Django. With Django, it was just unfortunate that he was competing with Waltz. If Waltz had gone lead, things may have been different.
I joke that Leonardo DiCaprio has the Gisele Bundchen curse just like Tom Brady. :-) He hasn't won the Oscar; Tom hasn't won a Super Bowl trophy since he married her. #teambridgetmoynahan
I just finished reading the Wolf of Wall Street book. It was vulgar but very interesting. There are many Oscar bait scenes, plus Martin Scorsese is the director. It's kinda like "Wall Street" from the 80s, but I don't know if it will be as well-received in this economic climate.
I worked ridiculously hard to get that Oscar win. I started reading one of my favorite awards sites, Gold Derby, beginning in September. Then I listened to the podcasts on GD, Awards Daily, Awards Circuit in December, January, and February.

I think Leo's best chance was with Aviator, but Jamie Foxx got all the awards. He said that "Wolf of Wall Street" is his best performance to date, so we shall see.
Thanks for all the info! No need to be sorry -- I love this stuff too

I agree - his best chance was the aviator...he was phenomenal in it. I also can't wait to see him in the great gatsby.
Great Gatsby's expected to have Academy Award nominations for the techs but not for the big categories. It's opening at Sundance, but it got pushed from a 2013 release, and there was buzz that it might be a mess. I found the trailer kinda d
On Awards Circuit, these are the frontrunners for each category. I know that Steve Carell and Julia Roberts/Margo Martindale are considered strong contenders for Foxcatcher and August: Osage County respectively.
