Cleaning Prices

I called Merry Maids and they said the initial deep cleaning of the house will be $85 an hour and it'll take 3-4 hrs (probably 4). However I'm taking out the kitchen, since that room isn't done yet and the babys' room because it just got furniture so there is no point. It's spotless. So maybe that'll knock it down to 3 hours.

Anyway, does that seem like a lot of money? Obviously if they keep coming back it'll be less but this is just their initial. Keep in mind me did construction so there is dust EVERYWHERE. Just not sure if its worth it or if I can do better?

If it's only one person and they aren't moving furniture, then you can definitely do better. Also, the fact that you are omit

  • The housekeeper I've used in the past is awesome and charges $30. Our house is always spotless.

  • We paid $275 for an initial clean when we lived in our little rowhouse (ecomaids)...then it was $125 for every other week. They sent 2-3 people. The initial clean was awesome...they did every inch of the place (ceiling fans, baseboards, inside fridge). No
