Looking for long slow cooker recipes

MJ's mom had a great idea about using my slow cooker to come home to a hot meal.  The problem:  I leave at 7 and get home after 8.  13 hours seems like an awfully long time to slow cook something on low.  Any ideas would be grand!

  • 1- do you have a crockpot with a timer? you could set it for the 8-10 hours and then when its done it switches to the warm function and keeps the food warm and stops cooking.

  • When I cook something even remotely complicated again (basically when Sophie can be left alone for 15-20 mins which isn't yet) I love my crockpot. Mine also has a timer that turns it to warm after a certain period of time. I like cooking whole meats a lot
