So E's first bday is at the end of the month. I had a friend ask me what she wanted for her birthday and asked what her fav cartoons were. I told her I don't let her watch tv yet because she is too young (not to say she never looks at the tv when it's in but I guess I just prefer to let her play and not be stuck watching tv). Friend told me her daughter (born in sept/oct) loves Disney and Dora. I thought it was kind of strange. Am I the weird one for not letting her watch cartoons at this age? I just don't see the point and letting her watch them if she can be entertained with toys an books.
Thoughts?

And you make me feel the same way Wendy...thanks a lot. Did I say it was bad?? No I simply said I thought it was weird and asked if other people kids watched tv at this age. I don't judge my friend for letting her daughter watch tv so young. I just did
When DS1 was little, he almost never watched TV. I was like a TV nazi. DS2 watched a lot more. Mainly because he was kind of a difficult/clingy baby and if I could get him to watch 5 minutes of Sesame Street then I would gladly accept the moment of res
