My wife and I have been married for five years and have had a happy relationship so far. I am admittedly the more reserved one in the set and I think it is understood that my wife "wears the pants" in the family.
My wife has an intense interest in collecting Pez dispensers, and has since before we met. I have been extremely supportive of her hobby, traveling with her to look at different specimens and spending quite a bit of our collective savings on pieces she's wanted. However, I think the line might have been crossed and I'm not sure what to do.
There is a collector that is selling his quite sizable collection of Pez dispensers, and knowing my wife is a fellow fan, he has offered her first crack at it for the enormous sum of 8,000. We do not have that much cash lying around but my wife is determined to make an offer quickly. To earn the money she has begun to host poker games twice a week, charging the groups for use of our house and acting as a card dealer, as well as enlisting my help to deal while she takes part in high stakes games. I don't know how she built her clientele but she has opened our home to all manner of characters, from rough looking bikers to members of the area senior center. I am at a complete loss, and don't recognize my beloved wife in the ridiculous and single-minded card shark she has begun. I have tried to talk to her several times to no avail. Is it worth trying to work through? What do I do?
Re: How far is too far?
You might want to call a collector or somebody who specializes in this kind of thing and ask what the "maturity rate" is for a collectible like a Pez dispenser. Antiques Roadshow might now; you can try contacting somebody on th

I feel this may be mud. If not, I am so sorry for what you are going thru with your wife.
If this is mud, it's great imaginative stuff. Bravo.
Dude: this is hardly Bunko or a Tupperware party.
You should leave her if she refuses to stop hosting th
