Have been lurking and haven't posted in awhile, but thought I'd ask for some online advice.
If you have worked with a builder in a sub, how much after you sign the contract do you have to deal with the builder's sales consulant?
We found a sub we love, a floorplan we love and are even ok with the pricing (not thrilled because we thought we should have been able to do better). Our realtor was not impressed with him either). Basically we'd like to stick it out, because in the long run the sales agent is gone after we close (or hopefully sooner).
However - he is a complete and total jackhole. I really don't even want to see him to sign the contract, I'd like to have our REA pick up the papers and drop them off.
Should we allow this guy to be a dealbreaker? Should we try to go above and ask if there is someone else we can work with? Our REA knows the area sales manager so maybe we could go that route, but I don't want to be childish if I'm not going to have to deal with him much after we sign the contract.
Anyone been through this? Any suggestions?
Re: Sales agent in Builder's Office
Generally after you sign the papers, your file and project data transfer to the Building/Project/Site Manager and you no longer have to deal with the sales agent.
I would just deal with it.
