Thoughts on Convertible Tricycles?

Hi ladies,

I came across this great convertible trike and I wanted to know if you guys have any thoughts on them.

We bought a similar one for my nephew for his first birthday and he doesn't really use it, but I think that's b/c he's more of an inside/electronic toy type kid. When the weather is nice, we plan to do lots of outside stuff with G.

The reason I'm struggling a bit is that we bought him this for Xmas, which is different but sort of similar:

And the grandparents bought him a radio flyer wagon, too.

Thoughts? Did your kids enjoy/use something like this? Cons?

Re: Thoughts on Convertible Tricycles?

  • i think it would be overkill at this point.  The tricycle seems like a stroller substitute for the age he is at right now, as it will be another year before he can start to learn to pedal. And that little car serves that purpose as well as the wag

  • I agree with pp.  He won't be able to pedal at this point anyway.  It would be just another thing to push him in.  I think tricycles are kind of a waste.  My daughter could never pedal it really well and get herself anywhere (I

  • Thanks, ladies! That's exactly the kind of feedback I was looking for. Much appreciated.
  • I will say thanks for posting it - I've never seen one and Target just posted a similar girls one for their daily deal. Birthday gift secured! :)
  • We had one for DD when she was 2. It was great. She still wants to ride now sometimes instead of her big girl bike.

  • Dd got a lot of use out of her tricycle. But I don't think I'd spend $100 on one. We got dd's for free on the side of the road after somebody didn't sell it at a garage sale. So for free it has been great, haha! I'd say if you can find one through garage
