I just found out that someone that I know is having a baby girl that will be born with down syndrome. They are pretty upset. But the bad part is that I don't feel bad for them. I certinatly do not wish any disability on anyone, but the baby should be born healthy and can still have a functional life with minor help. This totally might be my background of working with all ages of people with disabilities. Also, my favorite disability (is that a thing?) is downs because they are generally so loving and live fufilling lives. Please tell me if I am being a bad person.

Not a bad person. I think the more that you are exposed to these things, the less you are scared about them. Do you know them well? I heard of this story quite a few times in college, and it might help them cope. It is an essay called "Welcome to Holla

I feel like I would much rather have a child with Downs than a child with Autism. And that just might sound mean, but that how I feel. Downs Syndrome kids are very loving,
