You mentioned your salad from your favorite place. ?Where? ?Over Tgiving I had a hard time finding veg friendly places in Ft. Laud. ?The only one I found is open during weekdays only. ?Any suggestions? ?It's not something my parents seek out b/c my dad is an adamant meat eater, although he loves Sage. ?My mom is a mostly-veg, so I'm sure she'd appreciate any suggestions. ?Since I'm going home for 2 weeks, I figure I might as well arm myself with alternate suggestions.
Re: umwife
Hey Sibil...
My absolute favorite is Offerdahl's...which I know up until recently, was only open during weekdays in downtown FTL. But they had a big sign in the window today saying they're open later on weekdays (til 8 p.m.), and on weekends.
Their Zesty Mediterranean is the salad I adore...although I add chicken breast to it
and get it with balsamic vinaigrette instead of Greek dressing. But they have a vegetarian chili which is also, really pretty good.
It's totally a breakfast-lunch joint though, so they can be sometimes easy to miss. I know there's one in downtown FTL, and I'm pretty sure another one on Federal Highway. If you come out west, there's one in Weston too.
There used to be a place called Salad Creations in downtown, but it closed; there's one still up in Boca though at the Town Center Mall...
Hope I was able to help a little bit!
I thought most of the Offerdahls had disappeared. ?They had them a long time ago, but then Einsteins replaced them. ?Are they back. ?Come to think of it, I might have remembered seeing one on Fed Hwy on my last viist. ?
Have you been to the Daily Squeeze? ?Is it any good??
Yeah, there are still a few Offerdahl's still around
They're not cheap (My salad today was $11), but it was so good. Every once in a while, I just splurge because it's so yummy...
Haven't tried the Daily Squeeze yet...where are they?
I think they're making a comeback. ?The Fed Hwy location is new, at least wthin the lsat 2 years.
Daily Squeeze is at Broward and Andrews, right across from First Baptist. ?I found it through a veg website, but we were looking for a place to eat the Sunday night after Tgiving. ?Nothing was open! ?And I learned that night that the Atlanta Bread Co my friend and I used to go to when skipping youth group is no longer open.?
