Can you have pink eye without the pinkness?
Wes came down with a really bad cold this week. Yesterday his eyes started watering and this morning he woke up with them sealed completely shut (SO sad -- he was crying "mommy where are you?")! They are still very watery and glassy looking, but not pink. Does that sound like sinuses, or pink eye? We have a dr's appt in a few hours, but I was debating whether we should have lunch at my parents' house as planned, or skip it if we think he could have pink eye...

Sounds like viral conjunctivitis (cold in eye). I've had it happen the last couple winters with a bad cold. I called my eye dr last year because it was taking awhile to clear up and they advised coming in. He confirmed it wasn't pink eye but said viral

Like Amber, I also consider myself to be a pink eye expert, and my kids always have the redness going on in addition to the goop and film over the eye.
