We just had our inspection done tonight. He will get us the full report by Monday but vocalized some things. I wanted to know some of your thoughts.
1. None of the house has grounded outlets. It isn't wired for it either. This bothers my H.
2. There is a large crack in the living room that goes onto the ceiling from the wall. We don't know if its structural or not yet.
3. There is water damage in the basement's foundation. He sounded like it was severe or at least to be concerned about.
4. We would need a termite inspection. He didn't see anything real obvious, but suggested it.
There were a few other things like a broken garbage disposal, probably needs a new water heater, venting the sinks, minor stuff compared to the other stuff.
What are your thoughts. We do love this house, but we are at the top of our price range for it, so most of it would be on the seller. My H is wondering, when do we walk away rather than calling in more experts?

Those are really big red flags in my book. The bigger things you listed could cost a LOT to fix, let alone might make it really hard for you to sell the house down the road. If the house were lower in your price range, I wouldn't be as conc
I would either hire another inspector, or hire someone to specifically look at the foundation issue and water damage.
I would also consult with an electrician on the issue with the outlets. While I would not ask the
If there are foundation issues, that is something I would walk from. Foundation issues are expensive, hard to fix and usually a reoccurring problem.
Everything else seems like it'd be workable.
