Hello,
DH and I are going to Ireland in September for eight nights, nine days. We would like to focus our trip on the south and west area of the country. We are renting a car on arrival in Dublin, we would like to get out of the city on arrival (planning two nights in Dublin on the end of the trip). Please critique the possible itinerary below. Trying to not spend too much car time each day so I was trying to distance everything reasonably.
Day1/ Night 1: Fly in and drive to Kilkenny
Day 2/ Night 2: Drive to southern seaside town- Kinsale, Ardmore, Cobh- I am not sure?
Day 3: Head to Kenmare spend 1-2 nights? I have heard good things about this area. If one night, spend next night in Dingle.
Day 5: Stay in Ballyvauhan and explore burren area
Day 6: Night in Galway
Days 7 and 8- back to Dubline, possibly stay in Trim rather than Dublin both nights?
Thank you for any input!
