Buying in bulk, am I crazy?

I have been thinking of buying baby wipes in bulk, am I crazy?

I just think that we are going to need a lot of wipes and I found some on eBay (864 count for $21) I think it's a good deal and you can never have to many baby wipes, right?

What do you ladies think? Did anyone else do this?

Re: Buying in bulk, am I crazy?

  • I would do it. I got a huge box at my shower plus a few small packages and I've already bought at least 3 more big refill boxes. You'll use a ton of wipes!

  • Do you recommend a specific brand?

And, I should probably buy the fragrance free ones right? Or does that matter?

  • i buy ours from sam's club-800 for $18 and change. but sure, stock up if you have somewhere to keep them!

  • I get the box of 720 wipes at Target for $15. That's about 2.1 cents each. Yours would be about 2.4 cents plus shipping. I like the texture of the wipe better than any other brand.

  • We get the pampers sensitive ones in bulk through Amazon mom subscribe and save.  I love the convenience and price.

  • I would be hesitant to buy wipes in bulk before LO is born just because they could have a reaction to the wipes and then you are stuck with a ton of them.

We use huggies wipes. I like the refreshing wipes but they don't come in bulk at our store

  • I would definitely get wipes in bulk, but that is not a good deal.

We got over 1,000 Pampers wipes at BJs for around that much.

Now, I buy the Target brand unscented wipes and get over 900 for $14.

  • Honestly I'd wait until you know which ones you like. We had a ton if the pampers wipes and I hate them, we had none of the Huggies and those are the ones I like best.

  • I'd wait and see which ones you end up preferring before committing to any sort of bulk purchase. Yeah, you can return them, but you can save yourself a little effort. You don't need to be purchasing wipes right now.

    FWIW, we buy Huggies Natural

  • I'd wait and see what LO (and you) like before buying in bulk.  We started with pamper's Sensitive but both H and I hated them-- they just didn't clean well so we went through a ton.

Now we love the Kirkland ones from Costco, and get a very
