I love that my new dentist is looking out for baby, but...

So I switched insurance companies in January. That meant I had to switch dentists, but I didn't really like my old one anyway. Well I didn't get around to switching until a couple weeks ago when I chipped  tooth. Called the new dentist and made an appointment for this morning before I knew Iam pregnant. By the time the paperwork came, we knew so I put it in the paperwork. My appointment today was very short, just kind of coming up with a plan for my tooth. Then he informs me that they can't do the work until I'm in my second trimester. It's something about the filler and anesthesia not being safe in the first trimester.

So I can appreciate him looking out for baby, but that means I have to live with this jagged chipped tooth for at least another 5 weeks. Boo!

  • I hope it doesn't bother you too much!

  • My dentist wouldn't even do certain things when we were TTC. I went in while I was in the TWW and they made a fuss and a half over me.

I hope you aren't in pain.

  • Thanks ladies. Luckily, I'm not in pain. It's more annoying anything like when I accidentally rub my tongue against it or food gets caught in it. However, he checked and my nerve is still intact (I was concerned it wasn't since I wasn't having any pain) s
