Nags Head Recs

My family is going to Nags Head for a long Memorial Day weekend getaway. Definitely not exotic or anything, but we've never been to the OBX. So I'm hoping to get some suggestions as to what to see and do while we're there. I googled it a bit and we're considering doing the walking tour of the historic area, visiting Jockey's Ridge State Park, and Bodie Island Lighthouse. We'll have our 16 month old DS with us, so anything family-friendly is welcomed. Any restaurant, caf? suggestions are welcomed, too. TIA!

Before you go to Bodie Lighthouse check to see if it's done being renovated. We went to OBX last August (Avon area) and we stopped there on our way home and it was still under construction so it was disappointing. I'm not sure how long it w

I have been going to the OBX since I was a baby. We now stay up in Corolla but it is so nice and family friendly. Enjoy. I can't wait to go back in July!
