I HATE the Bump baby websites. I just think that they are the tackiest thing ever. I also can't stand when people throw themselves a baby shower. A shower is a GIFT. If no one throws you one, you just don't get one. Sorry.
Anyway, a friend of mine is pregnant and she made her baby one of these websites. I just looked at it. On the website, it lists every single object that she already has for the baby and every single thing that she needs. Helpful for mom and dad yes but if someone is going to buy you a gift, they should buy whatever they want to buy you. If you don't like it, or you already have 50,000 of that item, haul a*s to Babies-R-Us and return it like everyone else!
I also think that these websites are completely different than the wedding websites. We had a wedding website. It was mostly pictures of us and info on the ceremony and reception. I'm not even sure that our registry info was listed. I know for a fact that I didn't take inventory of our household goods.
I just don't know what it is about people having babies that makes them feel so entitled. I mean people were more than generous when Teddy came along and I'll be forever thankful for the welcome that he received but I never expected it - and I certainly didn't demand it.

I think second-baby showers depend on the situation. In your situation, I think that they are fine. I would totally throw you one and I wouldn't side-eye any invitation I received to attend one. My sister had a similar situation. Her oldest was almost&
