Ugh - so I have an iPhone 4 that met its demise when it fell out of my hands last night.
The face is shattered.
I called that CPR store and they charge $99 to replace the face (with a 6-mo warranty). Now, I do have the insurance (thru Best Buy, where I bought the phone). I need to call them to find out the cost of replacement, though. (I know DH's insurance thru Verizon was $150 to replace.)
In the meantime, DH checked online and found out he can buy a replacement face (with tool kit to DIY) for $40 or $45.
So, my question is - have you shattered the face of your phone and what did you do? Has anyone tried the DIY route? Is it easy/hard?

Re: iPhone repair question
I can't help, but I wanted to say that I'm in the same predicament as you. Unfortunately I don't have the insurance.
I asked DH for an iPhone case for Christmas and he didn't buy it for me, Therefore I place the blame on him. <img src="http://co

I'm lousy with DIY stuff so I'd probably go with a local repair place like this. You'll pay more than the DIY kit but less than what it costs to have the apple store - o
