Stupid Sore Boobs Question

Hi ladies!

I'm sure this falls under "stupid first time mom question," but I would like to ask anyway.

I am a samll B size bra, and I know that will change as my pregnancy progresses (I'm only 7 weeks 5 days right now).  I was at work tonight and I noticed that I was getting pain on the sides of my boobs and under my armpits.  They've been sore since I got pregnant, but this was a different kind of pain.  The best way to describe it is like a pulled/strained muscle pain.

This is probably from them growing right?  Any other explanations?  Thanks!

ETA: I did carry a heavy bag for work on Monday and heavy grocery bags yesterday, but it didn't start bothering me until tonight.

Re: Stupid Sore Boobs Question

  • I would guess normal growing pains, but I honestly don't really remember the exact type of boob pain I had early on - just that they hurt.

  • That's exactly how I felt around that time. My armpits and boobs hurt so bad that I couldn't even go to sleep in a comfortable position, and my nipples would throb so bad I couldn't wear a bra (sorry if thats way TMI). Good news is that they started hurti

  • My boobs were occasionally sore on and off throughout pregnancy but they really didn't end up getting any bigger until 3rd tri. Could be growing pains, or it could just be hormones. Either way it's no fun :(

  • I was a D cup pre-pregnancy and had to buy new DD bras around week 6. I had the same pains you're describing, so it does sound like growing pains to me. It's starting to mellow out now.
