Color my hair?

How do you all feel on coloring your hair while you are pregnant? My doctor said it was fine at any point but things I've found online say different.

Did you or would you color your hair while pregnant?

Did you or would you wait till you hit a certain week of pregnancy?

I am in serious need of a color/cut.....

TIA : ) Hope you all are having a good day!

  • I colored my hair at 35 weeks. I asked my OB and hairstylist about it and both of them encouraged me to go for it. My OB said she just suggests avoiding it during 1st tri. Also telling your stylist you are pregnant may help because they could use diffe

  • I coloured my hair every 6 weeks when I was pg with DS and now with this pregnancy I am doing to same...so far so good!
  • My Dr. says wait until after 1st tri. The nurse actually said during her instructions about this, "If you choose to do so before the second trimester you are doing so against our advice and at your own risk." Spooked me enough to wait a little while, but

  • I know there isn't research proving it is dangerous, but I personally chose to wait to color until after baby was born, and even after she was 2  months old.  I know that is overcautious.

On the other hand, I only get highlights, so it

  • I color my own hair and have been since about 10 weeks. I really wanted to wait until 2nd tri, but my roots got ridiculous. My original plan was to go back closer to my original color before TTC and then not have to worry about it, but my hair has deci

  • Thanks for all the responses. I think I will wait a bit until I am in 2nd Tri. My roots aren't bad or anything, I just feel really dull. Thought getting my hair did would make me feel a little better. ; ) Nothing that can't wait a few more weeks!
