missing package update if ya care to know...

It took 2 business days (not 1) to get a call back from Gymboree and that was today.  They left a message that says:

       "i am checking your tracking and it says it was delivered"  grrrr, i know. I don't HAVE it.   " if you still haven't gotten your package give us a call back."

SO before I call them I try the post office just in case.  I get the post master which is who I talked to, He says "no change, we don't have it. The carrier doesn't remember delivering a package, but they deliver so many and its been a few days..."

So I bring up, right and see it says it was attempted Friday we were home and got no note about it. and delivered Sat. I was here Sat for sure and I didn't get it.  I doubt it was taken, we have never had an issue. Makes me wonder if it got delivered to the wrong address and Hasn't been returned.

He says "well usually poeple mark it and we redeliver it or bring it in. I suggest you call the sender and tell them you spoke to the post master and we dont' have it" 

SO I called Gymboree explain the situation, I tell her I know it isn't your fault because it was sent, but I ordered 2 weeks ago to have it for Easter, now I dont' have an ou tit or my $25 gymbucks, and I am out MORE Money cause I had to go get him something to wear.

            She tells me she is sorry and she will send me 10% off another online purchase- Right cause I want to do that anytime soon Confused- and suggest I call my credit card and file a" non recipt of goods dispute" and they will retract payment. 

Ugh. Really? Why can't they just credit me the money as if it was a return?? off to call the credit card...

on the plus side. I drove out to Tanger yesterday and got khaki's for 14.95 with 40% off at Old Navy a plaid shirt on clearence for $7.99 as well as a hoodie for $4.99 and Robot PJ's for $8.99- which after I used my $25 bucks back from my credit card, cost me $5.95!!! = )  kinda takes the sting off, but still annoyed. And its not quite as dressy, they didn't have a vest but at least I didn't have to spend another almost $60 to dress the kid!

  • What a mess! Definitely not good customer service!  The last package issue I had was shutterfly last Christmas. I had ordered it in plenty of time and it was just missing. I can't remember what the whole situation was, but I never received it.

  • I am not a fan of the FedEx/USPS hand-off that has become so popular.  Are you able to actually catch your mail carrier and ask him/her personally about leaving a package?  I know my mail carrier actually delivers regular mail first th
