So I just married my love this weekend and looking through our cards I noticed the majority of them are made out to both of us or Mr. and Mrs. My question is, can I sign for the check to be cashed before my name is officially changed?

I would contact your bank and ask how to handle that. I know women who were not changing their names and were unable to cash checks made out to them by people who assumed they were taking their husband's name.
Or your husband can just sign
If the checks are made out to Mr. and Mrs. X, you both need to sign the back of the checks or deposit them in a joint account. For these checks, you should contact your bank to ask how they would like you to handle the situa
