woodstock
My hubby and I are looking to buy a new home in Woodstock Knoll near downtown. We were looking in East cobb but our budget was getting us a 40 year old home that needed about 50-100K in renovations. In Woodstock we can get a new house with everything we want, so it is very appealing. The Downtown area looks really cool.
Any thoughts on Woodstock Knoll, Woodstock elementry/middle? Also, I works off Windy Hill Rd in Marietta and can be at work any time between 6:30am and 9:30am. I have heard the commute in is terrible. Any first hand knowlege on the commute?

I don't know much about Woodstock. I am in Smyrna. I have some co-workers that go from Woodstock to South Marietta Pkwy and it takes about 45 minutes.

I'm just north of Woodstock. The drive from Woodstock to Windy Hill is probably close to 60 minutes during rush hour. Once you get to 8-8:30ish it's maybe 30-40 minutes. You can shortcut some by getting off at Canton Rd (first exit right as you get on
