DH and I have accident/dismemberment insurance but not life insurance. We both have a small amount through my work but not enough. We have one daughter and own our home.
I know nothing about life insurance. Should we do term or whole? Any advice would be appreciated.

I've heard term is best. You can get a lot of coverage for a small amount of money.. Sometimes whole life is a last resort, like for my husband who is uninsurable for term due to past health issues.
