Comfort Zone

My husband and I just got married a few weeks ago but we have been wanting to buy a house for over a year now.  The second I moved into his apartment, we outgrew it.  My closet is in the dining room if that gives you an idea.  Anyways, we've been looking and we live in the neighborhood that he's grown up in and that his entire family still lives in.  It is so incredibly expensive to buy a house in this neighborhood and we got lucky with the rent on our apartment.  I wouldn't mind renting a house or leasing but that's still outrageous.  I think I've gotten around to him quite a bit but still not enough for him to look outside his comfort zone...

  • The trick is to buy far enough away from family that they don't just stop-in, unannounced, but close enough that babysitting isn't too far away. A 25-30 minute drive time is the sweet spot. LOL
