Gwen & Sarah - Running!

Good luck with your runs this weekend!!!

Are you both doing C25K?  That program helped me so much!

Re: Gwen & Sarah - Running!

  • jumping in to agree with Meghan!  I just completed the program (for the second time) and it really helped this non-runner learn how to run!  Granted, I am pretty slow. But still proud! Good luck girls, you can do it!! it is a great weekend for a
  • We are! Sarah got the app and told me about it, so I put it on mine, too. I'm really hoping that it helps me - I know a lot of you girls have loved it!
  • I think you will really like it!  I never in a million years thought I could do it.  I was super out of shape when I started (not that I am in shape now, haha!) so even the first week I struggled.  But I kept pushing through and totally sur
  • Butting in too! I am starting again tomorrow. I was a drop out the first time, I can walk faster than I run. But I am signed up for a 5k in June so it is motivating.
  • Butting in too.... I am another who will tell you I was no means a runner and b doing the app wekk after week I am just about there. :) If I can do it.... so can you. Now if this flippin' cold would go away so I can keep going. grrr. I actually look forwa
  • Well, unfortunately I didn't get a run in this weekend because my back is jacked up pretty badly. I'm starting on Wednesday or Thursday - whenever I can get to the chiropractor. should be interesting!

  • Feel better, Sarah!!!

I got in week 1, day 1 yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I was fearing! Thanks for the push, ladies:)

  • Gwen, did your nail survive? Wink

  • LOL, sadly it had to be sacrified (for those not on FB, I managed to break a fingernail while running. My clumsiness knows no bounds.)

That is AWESOME that you were able to hit your goal! I'm so impressed that you were able to ru

  • Congrats Meghan!  That's awesome!
  • that is awesome Meghan!

Bella and I ran an easy two miles yesterday, and I did 3.1 (5k) on Friday at a faster pace. My race is in 13 days. I am curious to see what I run it in, my last 5k was 34:27 back in 2010. I am hoping to do better. M

  • Thanks so much!  I'm hoping I can at least maintain that until the race!

Lisa and Amanda, that is awesome!  Since so many of us are running, maybe we could have a weekly check-in?  I know I need something to keep me going before an

  • You can count me in for a weekly check in.  Since January, I have been thinking about running.  Literally, just thinking about it.  I'd google the C25K program, I'd look at shoes online...I did pretty much everything but actually leave m

  • I love the idea of a check in! I really could use the extra motivation to keep me going :)
  • I am willing to do check-ins and motivation posts too! Sounds like a great addition to my attempts at being an AW on FB about it :o)  My goals now that c25k is complete is to be faster by the Great Race 5k which I am already registered for.
  • Count me in too!! After not being able to exercise with a cold last week from Wedensday on.... it felt great to get on the treadmill yesterday. And then we did the route in our neighborhood since it was nice out. DH said I kept up much better than normal.
  • Oh good, I'm glad we are all here to do it together!  We can do our check-ins every Monday and encourage each other or share any tips, etc.  (I know I have a ton of stretches, music playlists, things like that on Pinterest.)

I started running one year ago (almost exactly to the day - it was Jude's third birthday) when I realized my excuses of not having time or a gym membe

  • I'm a C25K grad too.  I did the Marathon Relay last year and my leg was the 4.7 one too - is it still the last leg?  you'll love it - there are so many people cheering you on through the Strip.  I'm super cray-cray slow, but am registered f
