Sippy Cup help

Alright ladies.  Can someone please tell me how I can help Lucy understand drinking from a sippy?  She either isn't thirsty, isn't getting it, or just doesn't care.  She likes to play with the cup and chew on it, but she WILL NOT drink from it.  I usually just have water in it, but I've put breast milk in it so maybe she'd understand, but no.  I've held it like a bottle for her so maybe she'd figure it out, but she just choked herself because she just wanted to chew on it.  Lucy winds up sopping wet and has a great time, but I can't do bottles forever.

I have some Nuby cups and a Tommee Tippee cup.  Is there something better or easier?  What am I missing?

I would just keep trying different kinds of cups. P had really good luck with the straw sippys (we use Playtex Little Grippers) and was able to get water out the first time we tried (at 5ish months). Now we go back and forth between the straw sippies and

  • M will drink water out of any cup, but her favorites are the Munchkin trainer cups with handles. I can't get her to drink milk from any cup. I've tried 5 different kinds! Just keep trying!

  • A does really well with a straw cup.  We have the Playtex cup and another cheap straw cup but our favorite is the Zoli Bot cup.  They are expensive and a pita to clean but the weighted straw is awesome. No matter how A holds it she can get mi

  • What about just a regular cup that you help her use?  I read somewhere (I think either Lucie's List or Baby Bargains) that they don't need sippy cups-- it just shifts the dependence to another object and is still bad for their teeth.
