Short sale- have you ever heard of this happening?
A few months ago my DH and I put in an offer on a short sale, it was accepted by the seller, and the sellers bank. The seller never disclosed that they had a second mortgage on the house until last week, and they had to get approval from the second lending company. The second lending company came back and said that they would accept nothing less than $30k. The seller's agent came back to our realtor, added their debt into the offering price on the house, and sent it to us. They basically wanted us to pay off their damn debt!!! Our realtor told us this wasn't legal in the state of Colorado, and to reject the offer, which we did.Now we are back in square one, and just wondering if this happened to anyone else?

My H & I bought a short sale, but the exact opposite happened for us. We put the offer in last May and closed
