XP: Honest Cleaning Products
Hi, ladies! I posted this over on Green Living also. I've never posted on this board before, but I'm hoping that you can help me. I'm thinking about making the switch to greener cleaning products, but I'm concerned about how they will perform in comparison to the products that I use now (Lysol, Clorox, Scrubbing Bubbles, Fantastic, Windex, Pledge, etc.). I've been searching for reviews on the Honest Co. cleaners as well as Seventh Generation. I like that they are non-toxic, but the descriptions always say that they wipe away "dirt and grime" without any mention of bacteria or viruses so I'm not sure how well they really clean. Do you have any reviews or recommendations that you would be willing to share? Also, the greener brands seem to be much more expensive than the regular household cleaners. Are there cheaper places to buy them or do you know of any coupons? Thanks!

Re: XP: Honest Cleaning Products
Baking soda and vinegar is much cheaper, and will get your house clean.
I second this, I spend maybe $6 on large refills for each vinegar and baking soda every 3-ish months. I also use a little antibacterial dish soap + vinegar mixed for some cleaning (like in the shower) and swear by it.
I haven't personally tried the 7th generation products but I do have a friend who swears by them.
I don't know if you have a bed bath & beyond by you but they sell some really good all natural cleaning products. Here's a link to some http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/stylePage.asp?RN=1019&
I've used fresh wave and better life products and them have worked great.
