moms who do swim lessons

We had an incident at swim lessons last week; I'm not posting this to scare anyone, but just to make you aware if you're doing swim lessons or have plans to in the future. I just did a blog post about it:

My advice is this: when you're signing up for a program, ask if there is a trained person who is responsible for watching the children on the wall. Not watching the rest of the pool, not chatting with parents, not just sitting there...but whose only responsibility is the safety of the children on the wall who are not with a teacher.

Oh, Emmy! That is so scary! It's good that Jake wasn't affected by it, but I'm sure I'd be like you and be nervous at every lesson from now on.

Oh my gosh, how scary:( I don't blame you for being a nervous wreck. I agree - my first reaction would have been the same, but it sounds like it is working out. I hope the rest of the lessons go okay!

OMG, that is so scary! I am so glad that he is okay and not traumatized. I'm glad that they now have someone there, but it would be nice if the instructors would address you about it.

Very scary! Our Y we are on the deck but I still am in watch mode because those instructors and lifeguards definitely can't see everything! I am glad you kept him in and even more glad Jake was not affected!

So scary. I'm glad Jake seemed pretty unfazed by the whole thing. I think I was holding my breath while I was reading even though I knew the outcome was going to be ok, so I can only image how helpless you felt.
