Hi! I'm hoping for some assistance on vacation planning. I don't usually post, but I can't figure out where to go in Mexico in June. We want to be near beautiful beaches and Mexican culture (towns, markets, ruins, etc.). I'm thinking Riviera Maya, or Oaxaca/Huatulco area. I don't want to stay at an all inclusive. We're not firm on budget, but we're flying out of the midwest and probably planning to spend around $2500 with flight and hotel. We're fine with moderately priced hotels, and not looking for super luxury. Any suggestions on locations, and particularly hotels, would be appreciated! Thank you!
Celeste

Playa del Carmen- La Tortuga or Playa Maya
Tulum- Cabanas Tulum (sister property to La Tortuga)
These are small boutique hotels, not AIs.
I think think the Riviera Maya, and more specifically Tulum, would be the perfect spot for you based on what you've mentioned!
I visited Tulum a few years ago and stayed at a wonderful little place called Posada Luna del Sur. It's very highly rat
