Brian's parents are coming into town this weekend and we're going out to dinner Saturday night to celebrate his mom's bday. We dont' get out to dinner much (aside from my love of the Olive Garden and Red Robin, as I shared the other day!), so I'm open to suggestions. Anywhere in the north or Southside vicinity. I'm trying to take them somewhere that's not a chain where they haven't been before (which rules out Sieb's, Clauddaugh, Cheesecake Factory, pretty much everywhere in Station Square)
Brian's dad had wanted to check out Hofbrauhaus when they first opened, but of course the wait was ridiculous at that time. Is it still bad? we'd probably go around 5pm on Saturday (they don't take reservations)
Has anyone been to Walnut Grill in Cranberry?

Or somewhere on
5 pm Hofbrahaus should be fine. If there is a wait, it should be minimal, and you can just walk around a bit in SSW.
I don't know if this is north enough, but I like Mediterrano on Babcock. You might want to call ahead to see if you can do a r

If he wanted to check out the Hofbrau b/c he likes German food, I highly HIGHLY recommend Max's Allegheny Tavern on the North Side.
