Hey, I have a question about baby/kids clothes...

I just got back from Macy's and they had a super clearance on clothes, so I bought the babies a few outfits in 9 months and 18 months... I have tons of clothes up until six months. Is it crazy to buy this far out? It's the right season for the age, but is it a waste to buy these? For example it's a 2pc Carter's outfit.

Let me know what you're doing/have done as far as how soon you'll buy for your baby.

The outfits were about 6$ each.

  • I don't buy anything ahead, but M is so small that I don't know what sizes she'll be in. She also wears different sizes in different brands. There's no harm though if you think they'll fit and you have room to store them. Keep the tags on them and if you

  • Ava Nichol went through sizes super fast so it was nice to have lots of sizes. I wouldn't buy any season specific too far in advance though because the sizes can be highly inaccurate to the actual age.

  • Our LO has a fairly well stocked closet due to several sweet friends and a very excited grandma. All of her new clothes that are not newborn have not been washed and have the tags on. I've found that Kohls is great about doing an exchange if I need a diff

  • I haven't been, mostly because I don't want to end up with stuff he can't wear because of it being the wrong size for the season. I tend to wait as sometimes he wears stuff a lot longer than I expected and other times he jumps sizes more quickly. I try to

  • It's hard to tell where they'll be, size wise. Like P was born at 9lb 3oz, so I have a crap to of newborn stuff that he never wore (mostly Gerber brand since they run small). He's already fitting into 6 month stuff, and is only 3 months. Granted, since

  • I've bought a few outfits 12-18 months.  They were on clearance and if they don't fit at the proper time, I won't be super upset about it, but I think even if they fit 3 months sooner or 3 months later, they'll still be usable... except maybe the Chr

  • I don't think it's crazy to buy this far out, but it might not work out for you...  I think it's sort of a toss-up if it will be a waste or not-- there is no way to tell this early what age your child will fit into what size clothes.  If it i

  • i buy stuff as i see it and actually found i didn't really need to buy all that much when the time came to move up a size because i had ended up having enough. i learned from my massive overstocking of 0-3 stash that i don't need THAT much, especially

  • I would avoid buying too far out. R is not quite 3.5 months but in 6-9 month clothes! Obviously the guidelines work better for most other kids but you just never know how they will grow.

  • If it is really season-specific, like a summer romper, I would wait, but if it is something they can wear whenever I say go for it.  I remember thinking she was never going to fit into all the clothes she had, but she did.  She is almost 12 mont
