I'm surprising DH with a trip to San Fran for his birthday. It's on July 4th, but as a Canadian, he's never been to the States for the holiday and fireworks, so I want to rectify that. I'm just wondering what restaurants and attractions anyone would recommend? We're staying in Union Square and will likely only rent a car for one day, so I want to keep it to places that are walkable and easy to get to via public transit.

Don't they have the trolleys in San Fran? Or was that just on Full House? That would be a fun way to get around I think. And I'm sure there is some kind of fireworks display near the Golden Gate Bridge. If there isn't there should be cuz that would be
