I have- it is no big deal. Last time I was in NYC for a conference and my favorite band was playing over in Prospect Park in Brooklyn. Me (and hundreds of other people) took the subway, walked to and through the park and enjoyed the show. It was night by

I would consider going. I use to go to concerts in my home town alone. But as a pp said, you have to be smart about it. If you can, book a hotel close to venue so you can either walk or take taxi to concert. I would get familiar with route from hotel to v
