Irresponsible Pet Owners-disappontment in township/police.
Our neighbors at our new house have a mean dog that frequently accidently gets out. The dog runs to the doors of the hearby houses and barks at them. Friday evening the dog got out ran onto the porch of one of the neighbors and picked up a 2 year old from behind and was shaking him. The mom got the kid away and the dog ran across the street and chased the woman who lives there back inside her house.
The dog didn't have any tags or vaccination records and the owner told the police that he's only had him for 2 months, but he's had the dog since atleast last August. DH was talking to the neighbors who said the police said that the dog should be quarentined for 4 days, but they couldn't because they didn't have a "spot" for the dog. So the dog remained in the posession of the irresponsible owners.
The handling of the situation is dissapointing, and TBH I think the dog needs put down.
Re: Irresponsible Pet Owners-disappontment in township/police.
Can you call anyone over the police - animal control or something? That's ridiculous - grabbing a 2-yr old and being a menace to society cannot be ignored.
When the dog gets out, again, call animal control. How scary!
My three sons!
