All inclusive question

DH and I are heading to Excellence Riviera Cancun October 13-18 for a wedding. We are not big drinkers per say and I am really wondering if an AI is worth the money for us. Bottom catergory room is $1581 for the period we are there. We plan to go to Tulum, Chitchen Itza and Coba while there as well so we will not be staying on the resort 100% of the time.
Thoughts? Any recommendations of a non-AI are welcome too.
