Hi Everyone,
A little bit of background- Current debts Mortgage (<$650, we got a good deal, rent in our area is significantly more) and student loans. We have tried to be financially responsible (no CC debt, 2 cars paid off, save ect). I understand the ideal would be to save until I can afford what I want w/o additional debt. I'm at increased risk for premature ovarian failure so we are pursuing IVF while it's still an option. That being said I need help trying to decide between some options:
1. Pull out money from retirement account with 10% penalty and 20% tax
2. Use financing loan through fertility clinic with interest rate of 3.9% or above (Credit score has always been in the top tier so hopefully we'd get a decent rate) no more than 18 months
In addition we are cutting back and planing on using some savings without wiping it out. Any thoughts? TIA

Thanks that's a good idea, I'll look into it. Between the other two options the loan seems like the no brainer, but I don't have a good understanding of how interest like that is calculated.

Forget about using retirement funds.
Are you financially ready should you get pregnant? - Extra medical, get nursery set up, day care or extended time off from work?
There is so much more than just getting pregnant - that is just the begin
Does your clinic accept Care Credit? It's a credit card set up for things like this, or higher priced procedures. Usually it has 0% interest for an introductory period.
Otherwise, I would take the 3.9% loan from the clinic and not touch in
