Hunger Games movie question...

I posted below that I just finished book 2 & starting book 3 & never saw the movie.  So when I saw the trailer with Jennifer Lawrence - isn't she old to play Katniss. Isn't she supposed to be like 16 or 17 in the book?  Maybe b/c I'm looking at the new trailer and the old one was was probably filmed 4 yrs ago.  Do you like her as Katniss?

And I definitely didn't picture Woody Harrelson as Haymitch - for some reason I had him as some 50 yr old fat guy.

  • Agree with everyone else. I thought they did a really good job of handling the violence in the book too. I was nervous that it would be too much, but it was done well. I think when I was reading the books I put the fact that these are kids out of my head

  • I usually hate movies made out of books, with this and Harry Potter as the exceptions.

I LOVED Woody Harrelson as haymitch. I thought he was great in the movie.

  • Personally I pictured Robert Caryle as Haymitch but maybe he was too busy with Once Upon a Time.  I don't mind her as Katniss. But I mean I'm sure one of those anorexic stick looking young actresses would have been more true to character. But she is
