Are you going to the beach this summer?

We are planning a family beach trip for Aug. (DH, our 4 and 5 yr old, and me). Initially we were thinking OBX or Myrtle Beach, but now leaning toward good old OC, MD just because it is closer. (Or, Perhaps secretly I miss the 25 yr old me who used to party at seacrets haha). No really it's just that I have rosacea and can't be roasting in the sun all day so I thought OC has jolly Rogers, etc that I could do with the kids that is closeby. I am still debating...Where are you going on you beach vacations if your taking one and why? Thanks and hope you all are having a good day!

Avalon is pretty far south (it's about 30 minutes south of Atlantic City), so they did have some damage last year, but mostly it was some storefronts that flooded. I don't believe many residences were damaged.

We are going to the OBX- staying with another family in Corolla. I hate baking in the sun all day also. We usually rent an umbrella and get a house with a pool. That way in afternoon we can go back to the house and swim.

We're going to OCMD this year. My family goes every year, so there's a whole crew of us going. Last year we were in Turks and Caicos, so it's going to be a shocker going back to an Atlantic Ocean beach, that's for sure! But, we enjoy OC

I would love to, because we skipped last year due to us moving. But this year is the Disney trip. Next year I hope to get back to the beach. The last few times we went it was to North Litchfield Beach (south of Myrtle). Really like it there! <
