wow UPMC, you're on the ball

I'm cracking up. I just opened yesterday's mail, and in it was a $10 check from UPMC. Woo hoo! I'm assuming they overcharged me a copay on something.

I look at the reason for the overpayment, and it's from an appointment over two years ago. I'm wondering what suddenly triggered the "hey we owe her $10 check."

UPMC forgot to charge me for my gallbladder surgery til the point of 'you have 10 days til we throw you into collections'. A check would have been much nicer - ha!

I was glad it was a check, I was thinking it was an extra bill for Jackson's February ER visit. However, the fact that it took two years to figure out they overbilled me just makes me laugh. it takes no time at all to realize I didn't pay

I got one like that recently too! It was from 2010 or something! Weird.

I'm guessing they must have done an audit or something? I got a $40 check last week - no idea when it was from though? I just hurried up and deposited it through my bank app - didn't want them to change their minds!
