I lurk here, a LOT.
Pretty much I am just always envious about all the knowledge going on in here. Most of the time, I am flat out confused.
Me? I am a 23 year old mother, step mother, and currently cooking a bun. I have always been horrible with money, and never learned decent money skills from my mother.
My question is, where is a good place to learn about 401k, IRA..etc.
Dh and I are currently creeping up on 2.5 years of marriage, and have been working SO hard to pay off the HUGE amount of debt we both married with. Its been brought down drastically, with only student loans and one credit card left.
I just need to know more. Now that half our measly income is not going towards debt, I want it to go to something meaningful.

I your employer offers a 401K plan, do your best to fund to the amount that the employer matches. (this is with pretax dollars and you will pay taxes on the money when you withdraw at retirement)

I agree with PPs, but wanted to add that you should make sure you have your e-fund completely funded as well (you didn't mention).
The library always has a ton of helpful books (and you can use the money you save to add to your retirement!
