Anyone gone to Canad with their kids recently (last couple years)?
we are going to Niagara Falls in a couple weeks for a weekend. I didn't even think about possibly needing a passport for dd until the other day. Dh and I both have ours but dd doesn't. I looked online and from what I can tell kids traveling with parents don't need one, her birth certificate is all we need. But I asked a friend who went last year and he said they specifically got a passport for their dd and he thought she needed one. I swear the stuff online appears you don't but now I don't trust myself, haha!
so just looking to see if anybody went with just birth certificate for their kid and all was ok?? Otherwise I guess I'm going to see if there is a # I can call to verify.
Re: Kids and Canada
I haven't done Canada, but we did Mexico last year. We flew in, and the boys needed a passport for the air travel to/from.
If you're driving to Canada, for kids under 16 you need proof of US citizenship.

Children traveling with parents who are DRIVING across the CANADIAN border just need their birth certificates. We went to Niagara last year and are going again this summer.
If you are flying to Canada or if you are going to any other countr
