NBC chops new show ?Ready for Love?
Cue all the jokes about its wildly inaccurate title.
Viewers certainly weren?t ?Ready for Love.?
NBC has canceled the new reality dating show after two disappointing outings, when it pulled very low ratings despite airing behind powerhouse singing show ?The Voice.?
?Love? averaged a 1.5 in its premiere April 9 and fell to a 1.2 last week in the 9 to 11 p.m. timeslot. It lost more than half of ?Voice?s? lead-in both weeks.
NBC simply couldn?t afford to continue with the show, as it took up two hours of valuable real estate on the schedule.
The network will move ?Voice? to 9 p.m. and air ?Grimm? at 10 p.m. starting next week. ?Dateline NBC? will take ?Grimm?s? place on Friday night.
NBC has not said whether any remaining episodes of ?Love? will air
