Mom Cancer update
I know I don't post very much and I haven't done too many updates on my mom but wanted to let you know where we are in her battle. My mom had a PET scan on April 4. This scan came back showing little to almost non-existent spots of cancer on her intestine. Doctors weren't 100% sure her cancer was gone but it had shrunk significantly. Great news! Unfortunately the scan also showed a new mass near her bladder. After a biopsy last week her results came back that this mass is cancerous.
Her cancer has now gone to her spine. She has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma or Burkitt Lymphoma. It is so aggressive that in the month between her last chemo treatment and the PET scan her cancer spread. I am so afraid my mom is going to pass away before she gets the chance to meet my children. I am a believer of God and I know He is taking care of this but I am at a loss. I lost my grandmother 2 months before the wedding and was upset my children will never know their Abuelita but to not know their grandmother, I can't even think about it.
Please keep sending prayers. God has given us one victory but we are not finished with this war. Thank you all in advance.
