Where did you get yours?? The set we currently have is DH's from his bachlor days. We have got a new mattress in the last couple years, but the dressers are showing their wear and just we not well made to begin with. I am trying to talk him into a new set--with a KING bed. I know we can look at Levin's etc... Just wondering where you go yours and how you like it.

(aka get the board moving some today.)

Ours is vintage but my parents have bought several over the last few years at Balue City and have been very happy with them. Theirs is from Ethan Allen.
Oh, I agree with the move to a King size mattress it is awesome. Although our move was because we used to sleep with two 100 lb dogs.
We bought ours a year ago at Levin. It's a Queen set that we got an awesome deal on because it was being discontinued (two nightstands, headboard/footboard/rails, dresser and media dresser). They wheel and deal a little at Levin, too. I think the sales guy threw in the second nightstand for free and I don't think we even asked or implied anything to make him throw it in.
We had to exchange the footboard back at the store, though, because they dented it when assembling and we didn't notice until they were gone.
We also just bought a dining table and server from Levin. I agree with going King. We couldn't in our old townhouse and I can't wait to upgrade!
we have had an Ikea set for the past 6 years. it was doing a fine job until we moved and since then it has been less than awesome. It didn't handle the move so well.
But the real reason I respond is to be the voice of descent. I am glad we just have a queen sized bed (and small dogs). K and I sleep close to the edges of the bed. So when we sleep in a King we are literally 3-4 feet away from each other. Now a king sized blanket on a queen bed. That is something we need.
See, and I think this is the BEST part about a king sized bed. HIM - all the way over there. ME - all the way over here. I get to sleep in peace with no one's feet touching me or pointy knees in my back. It's like sleeping alone, but not!
We have a Queen, but I long for a king.

But we don't touch at night at all. If I am kicked it is by Mo, and he sleeps right up against me no matter how much room he has to spread out. so a bigger bed does not solve that problem for me. so all you really need is two small dogs that like to sleep in the valley between the two people to keep Walt's feet and knees on his side.
EXACTLY! I can't ever imagine going back to a queen now, I would feel so cramped and invaded!!

I'm on team king size bed. Some days I think the people in the 50's had it right by having his and hers twin beds :P
Amen! I wish our room was big enough for 2 queen beds, now that would be awesome!
