I'm such an idiot..
Seriously.
I just don't understand how my brain functions.
H 'cleaned' the house a couple of weeks ago while I was out of town. So this weekend, we couldn't find the envelope with our Red Sox tickets.
I searched and searched for a couple of hours.. tore the house apart, top to bottom, and no luck. I even looked through every book in the bookshelves to make sure we didn't use it as a bookmark or something. That's when I noticed the open cardboard box on the bottom shelf.
I grabbed it, thinking the tickets may have stashed in there. Instead, there was a jewelry box. It was a Blue Nile box, which is where H got my ring. I figured it was my engagement ring box, and thought I had thrown that away a long while ago, so then I thought I should make sure I didn't stick something else in there, instead. I open it, and there's a wedding band, just like mine. Now I'm confused... chedk my hand... yep. there's mine. So what's this?
I look at the paperwork, and it says it was ordered in January. Around the same time H lost his wedding band. So... my brain automatically jumps to wtf. Did he think I was going to lose mine, so he got me a spare? What? I was super confused. So when he got home from bringing his dad to the airport,
I show him my findings, and ask him why he would poassibly be stashing a second wedding band in the office..
yeah.
'Happy Anniversary.
' I'm such an idiot. (although in my defense, it was open, and not at all hidden... ) but really, who sees a jewelry box the week of their anniversary and doesn't think, maybe I shouldn't open that.
And who opens it, to see a second wedding band, and doesn't think 'maybe he got me the anniversary band we had talked about...' but instead thinks, 'why would he get me a back up??'
Me... that's who.

And really I would have thought the same thing. But at least you got a really awesome anniversary gift!
We never did find the tickets.. I finally called and found out that they would reprint them for me at will call
I felt so horrible... but really, it's exactly us. haha.
I stand by the fact that he should have hid it!!
