Re: Toning Tuesday
I had to go grocery shopping yesterday so I didnt make it to the gym. But I will be back at it today.
Tuesday - C25K and machines
Wednesday-Machines
Thursday - C25K and machines
Friday - machines
Saturday - C25K and machines
And by machines I mean:
ab machine - 4 sets of 20 reps at 55 lbs
lower back - 4 sets of 20 reps at 70 lbs
rowing (shoulders and back) machine - 4 sets of 10 reps at 50 lbs
pull down (shoulders and back)machine - 4 sets of 20 reps at 50 lbs
leg press - 5 sets of 20 at 110 lbs
overhead press(chest and shoulders) - 4 sets of 40 lbs
second ab machine(love handles) - 4 sets of 20 at 50 lbs
I'd make sure you're giving your muscles a day or two to rest to heal.

At the end:
"Make sure to give your body a rest after a strength workout. Whichever part or parts of the body you work, give it two days? rest before you work it again. This gives the muscles time to repair themselves and allows your metabolism to do its thing. And before you know it, you will not only be strong, but on the way to hitting your weight goal."
I either hit them all at once one day or do one day arms, the next legs, the next core/back....
Thats what I have been told, but I dont strain or anything. Its fairly light. For the size I am, Im pretty solid and strong already. I just feel like I dont a full workout unless I leave there sweaty.
Its weird. If I dont do a full workout like that, its almost like my body craves it and I think about going back to get that full workout in all night if I dont.
I get you. It's why I like the circuit training section. It's 10 weigh machines, and 10 steppers. The weight machines is everything, legs, arms, back, core... but then I rest a day or two. Then do another full body with the classes at lunch.
Just don't want you working so hard, and break down your muscles instead of building them.
Thanks for thinking about me! Maybe I will hope on the eliptical-from-h3ll to get my sweat on then focus on either upper body or lower body each day.
Like yesterday, I just did my run because it got bumped up a knotch and it about killed me. Today, Im going to to the full circut workout and run again tomorrow.
