Re: QOTD 4/30

  • So, DH and I pretty much only see Pixar movies in the theater and I'm pretty sure the last movie we saw in the theater was Brave.

We're really looking forward to Monster's University (Monster's Inc 2). We're so bummed though, because DH will be away at a conference the night the movie opens....yeah, we're those people LOL

  • We saw Olypmus has Fallen a few weeks ago.  I really enjoyed it.  Oh Gerard Butler - yum!

I can't wait for fall, if only for Catching Fire and Ender's Game! (and the new divergent book - Alligiant)

  • We went to Oblivion on Sunday, it was OK.  DH is a movie junkie, so we actually go a lot.  He goes by himself, if he has a day off and I don't, which I thought was super odd when we first started dating.  He made the point that you don't talk to people during movies so why not go alone?

I agree with Mana, I can't wait for the awesome releases this fall.  But I'm also excited that The Mortal Instruments movie comes out in August.  I will totally be going to that the day it hits the big screen.

  • I just realized that it has been years since we've been to the movies. We saw Shutter Island when we were first dating, but haven't been since. I think we've fallen in love with our couch a little too much. :)

I'm excited to see The Great Gatsby.

  • The last movie we saw in the theater was the new Die Hard movie.  It wasn't bad.  DH really wanted to see it.

I am so excited for Despicable Me 2 this summer.  I am in love with all those minions.  Plus DH and I saw the original one on our first date so it holds a special place in my heart.  :)

  • We saw Silver Linings Playbook this winter. H wants to see Iron Man 3, I guess I will have to watch the first two now...

  • Last movie we saw in theaters was like 2 or 3 weeks ago.  We saw Evil Dead.  DH and I are huge horror movie fans so we like to watch a lot of the good gory ones that come out in theaters.  Evil Dead was pretty scary and VERY gory.  I'm normally not freaked out or scared by demon possession movies but this one did freak me out a bit.  It was also very gross.  Like gory gross....but DH and I enjoyed it.  We're kinda sick like that I guess.  Haha.

Also, not sure what new stuff is coming out so I'm not looking forward to anything in particular.

  • We go to the movies a lot, partially because DH works in film and is a big film geek, and also because of his job, we can go for $1.50 each. But, surprisingly, I think it's been a while since I've gone with him. I'm probably wrong but the last movie I can remember seeing was OZ, THE GREAT & POWERFUL sometime in February or so, I think. I didn't really like it.

Unless something else comes up, my guess is the thing we'll see next  is the new Star Trek. DH is a huge Trekkie, and hey, I don't mind looking at Chris Pine for a couple of hours. ;) I liked the last one well enough. And I love Benedict Cumberbatch on SHERLOCK so I think I'll like him in this.

  • Last movie we saw was The Crudes with my two step daughters.  It was such a cute movie!  My parents actually took them to see it again and they loved it.

We have an amazing movie theater close by and we really enjoy seeing movies, so we go pretty often.  This theater makes it even more enjoyable - you get a big comfy chair, like a leather lazy boy, that reclines.  They serve food, drinks and alcohol and you just push a button on your arm rest and the waiter comes to you.  Pure awesomeness!!

pzavecz - My H wanted to go see Evil Dead and I absolutely refused.  I have a hard time with super gory movies and this one just looks way over the top and much more then I can handle!  And I actually like possession movies, just not gory, chop 'em up movies.  You are hard core for getting through that movie!

  • The last thing we saw in theaters was This Is 40. Wasn't too bad. You could definitely tell the audience it was appealing to. All the 20-30 somethings howled and seemed to enjoy it (myself included). I did catch an older couple walk out midway through. It's coincidental that this was the QOTD. The hubby just texted me while I was at work to make plans to go see Iron Man 3 this weekend. So pumped!

  • We last saw Oz.  I liked it but H thought it was going to be more exciting.  We used to go to the movies about twice a month when we were in college but it just seems like nothing very good is out lately.

We still want to see the new Superman, Great Gatsby, Monsters Inc 2.

  • We saw The Big Weddinf or whatever on Saturday.  I thought it might be cute since it had such a good cast.  It was terrible.  Waste of money.

    Looking forward to Gatsby!

  • I think that the last movie we saw together was The Host when it came out. We want to see The Croods, Iron Man 3 (they're supposed to blow up Chattanooga --  that's where we live!!!), Great Gatsby, Star Trek, Catching Fire...lots! We'll probably only end up seeing a couple of those in theater, though. We don't get to go often.

  • We don't go to the movies often.  The last one we saw was Oz, the Great and Powerful.  I know H wants to see Iron Man 3 this summer.  I really want to see 42 and The Great Gatsby seems intriguing.

Yeah, it definitely is way graphic so if you're not into seeing that kind of stuff, it's probably good you stayed away.  I would probably say it was one of the goriest, most graphic movies I've seen.  I had to look away for a couple of the scenes!  It was entertaining for us because we like watching movies like that but if you have a weak stomach, it might be too much.  :

  • The last movie we saw was 42 - very good movie!

We really want to see Iron Man 3 and Superman.  I also want to see the Star Trek movie but DH doesn't.  I also want to see Monsters University and Despicable Me 2.  Not sure where DH stands on seeing these movies.  He'd probably go with me if I didn't have anyone else to go with, but I know my sister and parents will want to see these too.
