A School Update...little long
I received my official acceptance letter! I'm starting to think this is really happening! LOL. T said he feels like that too. I asked him why and he responded with "Cause. They sent us a WMU window cling for the car." Hahaha. Only my hubby.
I'm starting to pick away at a checklist to get stuff done. I have to pay my admissions deposits today, but that's not happening. Hours have been tight for both me and T so it's been a rough few weeks paying bills and whatnot. We've made it work though. I'm going to wait until T's paycheck goes in the bank tomorrow and I should be able to pay some, if not all of that. I have to redo my entrance counseling for my federal loans...since I am taking more on.
I have a meeting with my advisor on Tuesday. I'm super nervous because from the emails she's sent me, she doesn't sound very nice. I hope I'm wrong or just over thinking things.
Finally, I found out from my advisor that most of my classes will be online, which is great. But, there are a few that are hybrid classes, meet once or twice in Kalamazoo (about an hour from my apartment: where the main campus of the university is located) and two that are only offered in Kalamazoo. I'm hoping that I can wait on those two classes for a few semesters. There is no way I can make my work schedule work if I have to drive down to K-zoo for class. T even mentioned he wouldn't mind moving down there for a year so I don't have to drive. Decisions, decisions. I wont' know anything until I meet with my advisor.
Phew. That's it. Thanks for reading. I'm mostly just worried about meeting my advisor. I hate meeting new people, especially important ones. I always get so nervous and I hate it when they aren't nice. I also am not a fan of new places. I think once I know where my appointment is, T and I are going to take a drive (since where I"m meeting her is only up the street from our apartment) so I know exactly where I'm going. Wish me luck!
