Nervous about tomorrow

Kind of long, sorry.

DH just recently got a new job.  He had to do a pretty intense physical for this job.  The physical included a chest x-ray.  He got a call about an hour later saying that he needed to follow-up with his PCP because they saw "something" on his chest xray.  The doctor wants him to get checked out for Lymphoma. They did clear him for work at this company, so I'm hoping that means low it's risk, and probably benign.

Trying to get DH to go to the doctor has been like pulling teeth.  He didn't want to go before they sent him all the results so he could take it into the appointment.  I finally gave up after a week and a half of waiting for them to come in the mail, and scheduled an appointment for him tomorrow morning.  They are both at Allinas so I'm assuming they have access to all the same information.  DH still doesn't want to go, he's not on my insurance plan because I'm trying to get a new job.  He has a plan, but it's terrible.  He wanted to wait until he can get insurance through his new company in 60 days.  I didn't think it was a good idea to wait that long, I kind of think he's just really scared.  The second he got the call about the xray, he stopped smoking.  He barely smoked anyway, but that's a pretty big sign this scared the crap out of him.

I've been pretty calm about this because it's so unlikely that it's something serious, he's 27.  It's all just starting to hit me know, and I'm starting to think what would I do if it was something serious.

Anyone ever hear of something similiar that turned out ok?  Or have medical knowledge on this?  I googled it and the risk seems low, but I'm really starting to feel panicky.
